Report: Brundle to lead BBC line-up
According to reports in the British press, Martin Brundle has been promoted to lead commentator on the BBC's coverage team.
Speculation has been rife for some time that the contract of current lead Jonathan Legard will not be renewed after two years in the position.
Brundle, who has served as an analyst alongside Legard, began his career alongside commentating great Murray Walker and now looks set to step up to the position of chief man behind the microphone, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
Former McLaren driver David Coulthard is the man touted to step up into Brundle's position, with the Scot having performed the role of paddock commentator in 2010.
Coulthard recently confirmed that he was in talks with the Beeb, but did not elaborate as to the exact nature of the discussions.
