Journey back in time as local residents of the historic town of Sukhothai turn back the clock and revisit their glorious past as they celebrate the Songkran Thai New Year the traditional Thai way. Most will be dressed in traditional Thai costumes.
The recreation of a traditional market in the town square and a retro-style floating market and temple fair provides the perfect setting for the festivities.

- Cultural performances, folk performances and folk art
- Elephant procession
- Rot nam dam hua ceremony in which scented lustral water and other ritual offerings are presented to elders and individuals held in high esteem in a gesture of respect.
- Live demonstrations featuring the preparation of local dishes and desserts
- Have a taste of the local delicacies.
- Miss Songkran parade
- Procession of traditional carts
