2012 F1 calendar set for further change

The Formula One calendar for 2012 faces further review after the teams were issued with the latest provisional draft last week.
F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone presented the twelve marques with a 20-race schedule, with the Turkish Grand Prix no longer present.
It is understood there is no provision for it to return next year following a failure to agree a new deal between Ecclestone and the race organisers.
However, there were a number of significant changes that included a back-to-back start in Australia and Malaysia, India moved to April, as well as a five-week summer break with no race in August.
Beyond that, however, there were back-to-back races in Belgium and Italy, Japan and Korea, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi, concluding with the United States and Brazil.
Bahrain has been moved from its initial season-opening slot to give the Gulf kingdom further time to guarantee peace has returned after the political unrest that led to its cancellation this year.
As for America, after being given a provisional slot in June after Canada, that too has been switched due to concerns regarding the heat in Austin in the summer.
Although presented to the teams for approval, Formula One Teams' Association chairman and McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh has confirmed further alterations are on the cards.
"The calendar is tough," said Whitmarsh.
"But I understand it's going to change again, so until you have the final one there is no point complaining about the provisional one."
