The race team is in shutdown

The entire Formula 1 grid endures a hectic schedule throughout much of the year. Luckily, the four-week gap between this year’s Hungarian and Belgian Grands Prix allows for our travelling staff and crew to take a very well-earned rest.

On August 15th everything resumes, meaning McLaren Racing will be a hive of activity once again as Lewis and Jenson’s MP4-26s are prepared for Belgium and the development push continues.

We’re using the shutdown to clean the race bays from top to bottom before the team returns to the McLaren Technology Centre ahead of the race at Spa-Francorchamps.

Although McLaren Racing has stopped its operations for the next two weeks, it’s business as usual for the other companies based at the MTC, such as McLaren Applied Technologies and McLaren Electronics. Keep an eye on McLaren.com for updates, because we’ll be focusing on different areas of the business throughout the summer break!
