FDA – Bianchi sixth in Abu Dhabi qualifying

Abu Dhabi, 12 November – Two months after the last race in Monza, the GP2 series is here in Abu Dhabi to tackle the final round, alongside the finale of the Formula 1 World Championship. Qualifying has just ended at the Yas Marina circuit and Jules Bianchi finished sixth fastest, the same as he had done in the earlier free practice session, in a time of 1.49.338. Dominating the session was Englishman Oliver Turvey, driving for iSport International in a time of 1.48.559, followed by Daniel Clos of Racing Engineering (1.49.035) and Sergio Perez in the Barwa team (1.49.081.) The young Ferrari Driver Academy student is currently lying third in the drivers’ championship, in one of the two Art Grand Prix cars and he will now tackle the first of two races this weekend, tomorrow at 11.00 local time.
