Lewis Hamilton has been reprimanded but not penalised for cutting the pit entry line after a close call on track with Bruno Senna during second practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Hamilton was on a fast lap when he came across Senna in turn 20 and ran wide. The McLaren driver then cut across the HRT and skipped the pit entry line as he aborted his run and returned to his garage.

Both drivers were brought in front of the stewards, but the panel of four did not consider the incident serious enough to warrant a full penalty.

"My visit to the stewards was just to explain what happened out on track with Bruno," said Hamilton. "It was a bit of a misunderstanding: he was trying to start his lap, and I was trying to come into the pits. I'll go and speak to Bruno to make sure everything's cool."
