The Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet, billed as the world’s first open-top crossover.
Introduced on Wednesday: 2011 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet
What is it? Here’s an interesting but risky innovation: an all-wheel-drive crossover convertible. The CrossCabriolet has a retractable soft-top and two fewer doors than the straight-up Murano.
What makes it tick? The same 3.5-liter V-6 in the standard Murano, although power figures released by Nissan show the CrossCabriolet at 265 horsepower, an improvement of five ponies.

How much, how soon? It will start at $46,390 and arrive in dealerships early next year.
How’s it look? It’s roomy and easy on the eyes. But maybe there’s a reason you haven’t seen one until now.
