GreenBkk Formula 1 | Brundle rejects Legard 'clash' claims

Brundle rejects Legard 'clash' claims

Martin Brundle has set the record straight over claims that he clashed with former BBC commentator Jonathan Legard.

The public broadcaster confirmed last week that former F1 driver Brundle will replace Legard this season with David Coulthard joining him in the commentary box. Many claim Brundle was the one pushing for changes as he didn't get along with Legard.

However, Brundle rejected the rumours on Twitter.

'Jonathan Legard is a lovely bloke, we never had a 'personality clash' or a cross word. There's so much nonsense gets cut and pasted as fact,' he wrote on the social networking site.

He also gave insight into how the new BBC F1 team, which also includes Jake Humphrey and Eddie Jordan, will work this season.

'DC will largely do his pre race Jake/EJ gig too, then glide to the comm box. I will do grid walks when I can, they need a refresh anyway.

'It's all about the racing, not the presenters/commentators. We are only there to share our knowledge and glue the programme together.'
