Ferrari to honour Italy's unification


Ferrari's 2011 challenger which will be unveiled on Friday will be called the F150 in honor of the 150th anniversary of Italy's unification.

The Italian flag will also feature prominently on the cars driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo told the ANSA news agency that all Ferrari workers "share the honor and responsibility of representing our country in the world and it's with this spirit that we wanted to dedicate this car to such an important event for all of Italy."

Italy President Giorgio Napolitano was informed of the decision on Tuesday and wished the team good luck for this season, which opens with the Bahrain Grand Prix on 13 March.
