Senna film secures Sundance award
'Senna' the film about the three-time world champion Ayrton Senna has secured a major award at the famous Sundance Film Festival in America.
The film, directed by Asif Kapadia, took the World Cinema Audience Award for Documentary Film at the prize giving ceremony on Saturday night.
Kapadia accepted the award on-stage after flying in from a screening in Salt Lake City.
"I just got back from Salt Lake City, for a screening. I should have dressed in something nicer. This Festival's restored my faith in festivals," he said. "It's all about the films, the filmmakers and audiences, and every screening is sold out."
The documentary has received rave reviews from audiences in Japan and Brazil where it has already been released to coincide with their 2010 GP's.
The film will debut in British cinema's in the Summer of 2011 to coincide with the British GP.
