Amazing Thailand Road Show kicks off in Indonesia
INDONESIA, 24 February 2011 (NNT)-The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched a tourism road show in Indonesia hoping to take advantage of its high purchasing power as a result of its growing economy.
The “Amazing Thailand Road Show to Indonesia 2011”, by the TAT, is held in Jakarta, Medan and Surabaya, with the participation of Thai hoteliers, tour operators and representatives of other tourism-related businesses.
According to TAT Governor Surapol Sawetseranee, the tourism industry in Thailand has been paying attention to emerging tourism markets and it is a great opportunity for Thailand to capitalize on Indonesia’s growing economy and enormous population.
Mr. Surapol is today scheduled to lead group of tourism entrepreneurs to visit the TAT Office in Jakarta. He said the opening of the TAT Office in Jakarta would help attract more tourists from Sumatra and Java Islands to Thailand.
