Due to his invaluable experience as festival director of previous international events such as the Bangkok International Guitar Festival & Series, the Thailand Festival of the Arts, the Bangkok International Showcase Series and the Markgrafler Gitarrentage in Germany, the world renowned German-Thai guitar virtuoso Hucky Eichelmann has been chosen as the Artistic Director of this outstanding world-class event.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to present the incredible talent of some of the world’s best and most established guitarists and it’s a unique chance for Thai audiences to closely experience the guitar greats they have been admiring from afar. The guitar is perhaps the most popular and versatile instrument on earth, sounding authentic in basically every musical style and form, ranging from Flamenco to Classics, from Jazz and Rock to Latin and Fingerstyle rhythms. I’m excited to be able to bring together these musicians for everyone to enjoy and to further understand the magic of this wonderful and fascinating instrument.” says Eichelmann.

The event was initiated and is being organized by AMI Events, Thailand's premium quality arts promoter, with the aim to present world class guitar culture and entertainment as well as prime musical education to help develop the Thai music scene.

The Bangkok Guitar Extravaganza is organized by AMI Events and supported by the Australian Embassy, Bangkok, the Embassy of Spain, Bangkok, STAEDTLER (Thailand) Ltd. and AER-the acoustic people.
