Mazda stand at the Geneva Motor Show 2011 marked the presence of two concept exhibits that prefigures future of version CX-5 (Mazda Minagi Concept) and Mazda 6 (Mazda Shinari Concept) with Kodo new design language.
Mazda has brought the Minagi Concept in European premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. Mazda Minagi foreshadows an SUV that will be called the CX-5 and enjoys the next generation SkyActiv engines. According to the Mazda, the model is “a unique crossover specifically designed for urban explorers who enjoy emotional design and outstanding performance.” Minagi Concept will fight with Audi Q5, Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai ix35, Mitsubishi ASX and other competitors in this segment.
Mazda Shinari Concept foreshadows the next generation of Mazda 6. Japanese mid-range model will be the first to evolved from the new Nagare design language and debuted in a world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The new design language of Mazda it’s called Kodo and means “Soul in motion.” Shinari Concept was created under a collaboration between the three major Japanese manufacturer’s design centers – the center from Europe, North America’s center and the center from Japan.
