Geneva 2011 Live: Nissan Esflow Concept

Esflow Concept was by far the star of Nissan stand at Geneva Motor Show 2011. Nissan Esflow Concept is an electric vehicle that looks like a mix between Leaf, 370Z and GT-R. It has rear-wheel drive, two electric motors and promises stunning performance.

Nissan Esflow Concept vehicle is equipped with two electric motors. The model can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than five seconds and has a range of 50% higher than Nissan Leaf, although using the same type of battery like his brother Leaf – a 24 kWh battery. Basically, the autonomy of Nissan Esflow Concept is 241 kilometers, a major achievement if we compare with the electric sports car available in the market at this time.

Nissan have not announced whether they will introduce such a model in production, but we can be assured that we will see a “grandchild“ of this concept to the streets in the not too distant future. Regarding the interior, Nissan Esflow Concept shows a clear inspiration from the 370Z, with only two seats and a sporty interior arrangement brings. The structure of this model allows the elimination of pillars, providing a higher level of visibility in turns.

Unlike other futuristic concepts, Nissan Esflow uses the existing drive train already in production. More specifically, the two electric motors are taken from Nissan Leaf, the battery used with the same model. If Nissan would consider such a production cost model, Esflow could become reality without too much hassle, at least in terms of propulsion.
