Rainy end to testing in Montmelo

Maranello, 12 March - Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro’s winter testing ended in torrential rain. The weather at the Catalunya Circuit was atrocious from the early hours of the morning and stayed that way into the early afternoon, so that the team decided to bring proceedings to an end around two hours ahead of the chequered flag.
Up to that point, Fernando Alonso had only managed five incomplete laps, their only purpose to do some practice some starts in the wet and to check out the way the car behaved in these extreme conditions.

Maranello, 12 marzo - Si sono conclusi sotto un’intensa pioggia i test invernali della Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. Le condizioni meteorologiche al Circuit de Catalunya erano pessime sin dalle prime ore della mattina e sono rimaste tali anche nel primo pomeriggio, tanto che la squadra ha deciso di chiudere le attività con un anticipo di circa due ore sulla bandiera a scacchi.
Fino a quel momento erano stati effettuati da Fernando Alonso solamente cinque giri non completi, utili solamente a fare qualche prova di partenza sul bagnato e a controllare la funzionalità della monoposto in condizioni così estreme.
