Williams has shares have been trading between €25 and €24 © Williams
Williams floated on the Frankfurt stock exchange on Wednesday morning, the first Formula One team to do so.
The team's initial public offering was of 2.4 million shares at €25 each, but the stock declined to just over €24 after early morning trading.
"It's always brave to come to the market but being brave is what we do," team chairman Adam Parr said, before adding the decline in value on Wednesday morning was not "overly" concerning.
In a recent interview with Formula One's official website, Bernie Ecclestone backed the team's decision.
"I think it's good," he said. "Others should also think about it, as I believe that there are enough interested buyers out there. Formula One is by far the best global platform to market a brand."
McLaren and Ferrari have both recently said they won't follow Williams' example.
