March 27: Haydn, Symphony No. 102 "The Real Miracle"; Mozart, C minor fugue; more music from "The Magic Flute" conducted by Somtow
The Siam Sinfonietta is going to Hua Hin again in March for two concerts right beside the ocean in the "Thong Phra Rong" Pavilion of Mrigadayavan Palace. This beautiful palace built by King Rama VI was a former residence of the artistic director's great-aunt, Queen Indrasakdisachi. Two concerts are planned for the young people of the area, conducted by Distinguished Silpathorn Artist Somtow Sucharitkul and Columbia Artist Trisdee na Patalung.
Members of the Young Soloists Programme of Opera Siam will also be singing scenes from "The Magic Flute" with the orchestra.
There will be two completely different programmes on Saturday and Sunday, each one showcasing one of the brilliantly inventive "London Symphonies" of Haydn. Trisdee will conduct the exciting No. 104, and Somtow the mysterious No. 102.
Other works include a rare work by Salieri and the Idomeneo Overture by Mozart.
