NO VACANCY CONFERENCE COMES TO THAILAND

June 7, 2011

No Vacancy, one of Asia Pacific's leading accommodation industry conferences, is heading to Thailand with its first Southeast Asian event in Bangkok on June 7, the day before the start of the 2011 Thailand Travel Mart+.

Key themes are Distribution, Innovation, Internet, Marketing and Technology.

No Vacancy has been run annually for the past five years in Sydney and is strongly supported by leading hoteliers, online travel agents, technology suppliers and industry groups.

Founder Martin Kelly also runs the well–regarded TRAVELtech conference, established in 1999.

Kelly says he decided to stage No Vacancy in Thailand because it's "probably the most dynamic tourism market in southeast Asia" yet has been overlooked by conference producers.

"All the events seem to be going to Singapore, but Thailand is a great country and I think it offers good potential for a forward looking accommodation conference such as No Vacancy," he says.

Kelly says No Vacancy Thailand will have a "strong local market focus, great speakers, a fast–paced, issued–based program and excellent networking".

The conference is designed to equip delegates with sales, marketing and yield management strategies to drive consumer demand, raise rates and stimulate destination awareness.

"We will be looking at the key elements of running a successful accommodation business, whether it's a hotel or website," Kelly says.

"The internet is an extremely important part of that, as is getting the right balance in terms of distribution and pricing."

There will be case studies, industry performance benchmarking, design updates, an in–depth examination of key markets, case studies and sessions on search, loyalty and digital marketing.

The programme will be announced in the last week of March, when bookings will also open.

No Vacancy Thailand is being held at the Millennium Hilton Bangkok on June 7. Please visit TravelTrends.biz for further details.
