Canadian GP - Alonso second and Massa fourth in final free practice
Montreal, 11 June – Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa took their Ferraris to second and fourth places in the third and final free practice session for the Canadian Grand Prix. On top of the time sheet was Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull in 1.13.381. The best of 21 laps for the Spanish Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro driver was a 1.13.701, while his team-mate did 20, with a quickest time of 1.13.956. They were split by Nico Rosberg in the Mercedes who did a 1.13.919.
The Ferrari men worked on the same programme, running a comparison of the Soft and Supersoft tyres as well as doing some practice starts towards the end of the session. The grip level of the track has definitely improved prior to qualifying which gets underway at 13h00, although it’s possible that rain might upset any possible predictions.
