New Williams bodywork to help cooling

25 July 2011

The Williams cars of Rubens Barrichello and Pastor Maldonado will be sporting modified bodywork for this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix.

With the aforementioned South Americas having struggled to a respective retirement and 14th place at the Nürburgring on Sunday, Technical Director Sam Michael is confident that the changes will allow for a more competitive outing in Budapest.

“We have new bodywork that changes our cooling regime significantly,” Michael explained on Monday. “This is something that, as well as helping the FW33 diffuser, will also be good information for the FW34 (2012 car) design.”
