A sunny Sao Paolo morning for 24 drivers as they tackled the first 90 minutes of free practice for Sunday’s final round of the world championship.
One forgets how short the lap is here, with drivers whizzing round in under a minute and a quarter and the track looks fantastic in these summery conditions. Jaime Alguersuari ended the morning with the eleventh fastest time and completed 29 laps in his TR6. Jean-Eric Vergne took over Sébastien Buemi’s car for his last F1 session of the year and he ended up eighteenth fastest, completing 33 laps of the Carlos Pace Circuit. Webber, Button and Hamilton were the names at the top of the time sheet, with Vettel, Massa and Alonso rounding off the top six.
