Ford has displayed at SEMA Show 2010 no less than nine customized Ford Mustang models. The vehicles have been transformed by Ford Vehicle Personalization, Creations n’Chrome, Team Baurtwell, MRT, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, Raceskinz, Tjin Edition, Mobsteel and Street Scene Equipment.

The celebrity in the Mustang series presented at SEMA 2010 was the exclusive 2010 Mustang Boss 302. The marvelous super car was developed by the team of Ford enthusiast engineers and designers. “The decision to build a modern Boss was not entered into lightly. The entire team at Ford Felt the time was right and with the right ingredients, the world- class 2011 Mustang could support a successful, race-bred, worthy successor to the original Boss 302. For us that meant a production Mustang that could top one of the world’s best- the 2010 BMW M3- in lap times at Laguna Seca. We met our expectations” said Derrick Kuzak, group vice president in Global Product Development. Thus, the result of their hard work was really rewarding for the entire team.

The Mustang Boss 302 has impressed 2010 SEMA visitors with a wild look, coated in a choral white tri-coat color designed by-Williams. In addition, the Ford Custom Accessories components were used in order to show the customers how a Mustang could be transformed. Therefore, the Ford team equipped Ford Mustang 302 with rear quarter window louvers, a billet grille, side scoops and a rear pedestal spoiler. The appearance of the Ford Mustang 302 is completed by 18-inch silver wheels, corresponding with the standard ones produced for the California Special Mustang.

The interior is dominated by white and black Ultrafabrics materials embellishing the seats, steering wheel, door inserts and the dashboard. Moreover, the coral accents adorn the steering wheel, the shifter knob, gauge cluster and air vents. Wishing to create an enchanting interior atmosphere, the Ford team added coral accent lighting.

The Mustang Boss 302 was offered an improved engine output, a refined braking system and adjustable suspension. The Boss 302 is equipped with a modified 5.0 L engine, discharging 444 bhp and 380 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, there is a torque-sensing limited-slip differential available in the variant with Recaro front seats.

The Mustang Boss 302 features a Trackey system, which uses a dual action PCM to release the full race mode in the Boss Mustang’s computer. “From an engine management standpoint, we’ve done just about everything possible to give tracKey users a full race car experience, said Jeff Seaman, Mustang powertrain engineer.

SEMA Show 2010 was also the host of other eight Ford Mustangs:
