Hulkenberg still unsure on F1 future

Nico Hulkenberg is still none the wiser about his Formula One future despite a stellar performance for his Williams team over the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend.

Hulkenberg delivered the team's first pole position in five years in Saturday's rain-hit qualifying session before a fine display of defensive driving and race craft saw him finish eighth on race day.

But the young German is still unsure whether Williams will retain his services as they have been strongly linked with well-funded GP2 champion Pastor Maldonado.

"I don't know yet. You have to ask Patrick or Frank," Hulkenberg told Autosport. "I can't tell you what they think right now. I think I have done everything right this weekend, and made the most out of my chances. It was a solid performance in the race, a good one in qualifying and we will see where we end up.

"Obviously talent should come ahead of money in Formula One. But with the economy having some trouble it has become a valid point and may change some things, but I still hope that things go the right way, how they should go. I think Rubens and I are the perfect driver combination and I really hope we can drive together again."
