TAT Rome leads Thai Delegation to Eastern Mediterranean Travel and Tourism Fair
Mrs Juthaporn Rerngronasa, Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Europe, Africa, Middle East, and the Americas), Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the team from the TAT office in Rome represented the Kingdom of Thailand at EMITT – the Eastern Mediterranean International Travel & Tourism Exhibition.
The fair was hosted at Tuyap Exhibition Center in Istanbul, Turkey, February 10 – 13, 2011.
Turkey is a new up and coming market with promising potential for travel and tourism to Thailand. TAT and Thailand’s participation at EMITT attracted much interest from Turkish travel operators.
The Thailand booth presented by TAT also won “The Best Promotion of EMITT 2011” Award.
Billed as the biggest summit for the East Mediterranean and Eurasia, EMITT Istanbul is organized by ITE Travel Exhibitions and brings together 3,000 exhibitors from 46 destinations, attracting nearly 100,000 visitors from all areas of the industry.
EMITT is supported by the Ministry of Culture & Tourism, TOBB, 6 Chambers and 36 regional associations and foundations.
