Vettel Win Clears All Doubts

What is it going to take to stop Sebastian Vettel taking the title this season? The other guys will probably have to lock him up somewhere because in 2011, in that car, on the track, that man is unbeatable.

After Montreal, everyone jumped on the 'Vettel is only human' bandwagon post his error on the last lap, letting Jenson Button win this longest Grand Prix in the sports history. The unforced error from the young German was quickly labelled as a sign that the reigning World Champion is cracking under pressure. While it might have served as a brief flash of hope that someone other than Vettel can win races this season, it really meant nothing other than an unforced mistake on the Red Bull drivers part.

One Grand Prix later and everyone has had a much needed reality check. Yet another racing weekend dominated by the German erased all doubts: Vettel couldn't be more together firmly focused on winning race by race and anyone who wants the top step on the podium will have to wait for him to make a mistake first... and those don't come around very often.

A very self-assured drive from Sebastian Vettel in Spain last weekend raised one massive question at the critics: cracking under what pressure? Three race wins clear of his rivals, the championship is falling straight into his hands. On pole every Saturday this season means he starts every race with a clear track in front of him and becomes the pace setter. And the pace has been exceptional, unless McLaren or Ferrari get some staggering upgrades, there will be little change in the way race weekends unfold.
