ENSTONE AWAKES
19/08/2011
On this fine, crisp, and almost spring-like Friday morning here in Enstone, the spirit is one of determination.
Earlier this week, Enstone awoke from its mid-season break, awoke from the slumber that August allows the Formula 1 industry. As we reach the end of the week, there’s a new sense of intent about the goings-on here in West Oxfordshire. The break has reignited the passions, and allowed the team to focus on the immediate job at-hand: Spa-Francorchamps. The legendary Spa-Francorchamps.
The technical and engineering gurus are hard at work developing the plans for next weekend. We will bring with us a development package that, we hope, will provide a competitive performance, and help build some momentum in the second half of the season.
When the going is tough on-track, a break can sometimes not come soon enough (anything to stop the rot). When things are going well, you just want to keep going. It’s all about momentum. We’ll hope that the recent pause will help turn our season around.
Looking at the efforts within the factory this week, no stone will be left unturned to ensure we are back and competing for points.
