The Aston Martin Zagato series version of was present at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The British from Aston Martin brought two units, both being used in a VLN stage on Nurburgring.
Aston Martin V12 Zagato, the new creation from Gaydon, in the series version is presented at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Aston Martin V12 Zagato recently stunned the jury and the public at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, as well as those from Pebble Beach. Initially, Aston Martin presented a competition model based on V12 Zagato named Zig, and a production model in standard configuration, Zag. The latter was also converted at the competition specifications, but Aston Martin decided to present the series version in Frankfurt, so they removed its external changes.
Aston Martin will build only 150 units V12 Zagato, the beginning of production will take place in the summer of 2012, as the English celebrating 50 years from the debut of DB4GT Zagato. Aston Martin V12 Zagato develops 517 hp and 570 Nm from a 6.0-liter V12 unit and has a body that combines carbon fiber with aluminum to achieve optimum performance.
The price of an Aston Martin Zagato is £330,000 excluding taxes. Both copies of Aston Martin V12 Zagato presented at Frankfurt were used in an VLN stage on Nurburgring, and the transformation of Zag into the series version was partially, just the exterior being restored to standard, the interior remaining changed for competitions. In addition to the two V12 Zagato models, Aston Martin brought at Frankfurt Motor Show the new Virage and Vantage S, together with One-77.
