FDA testing at Fiorano: on track with Formula 3 today and F1 Thursday

Maranello, 12 September – A Ferrari Driver Academy course took place today at the Fiorano track, aimed at preparing its drivers for the next round of their racing activities. Raffaele Marciello and Brandon Maisano took turns at the wheel of a Formula 3 car, concentrating on finding the right lines and braking points. They they analysed the data with the engineers to track their progress in preparation for this coming weekend’s race at Vallelunga.

Tomorrow, Sergio Perez, who joined the Ferrari Academy this year will start with two days working in the FDA simulator. After that, the Mexican youngster who is racing in Formula 1 for Sauber, will get behind the wheel of an F60 for a session at Fiorano. He will be sharing the cockpit of the car used by Scuderia Ferrari in the 2009 F1 season with another FDA youngster, Jules Bianchi.
